![]() ![]() I see a lot of people whining about refunds in general discussion and it makes me respond poorly. I just want to know if I should give up on trying to play NV, whether for the next few days, weeks, months, or just flat out stop trying. At this point I've spent 7 hourst trying to work on the specific issue and getting really frustrated. Deleted two other things before one of the validation checks, and they were added again, but that only accounted for 2 of the 3 it says weren't validated.Īgain, I want to apologize. The only thing of note not mentioned is that when I try to validate the cache, it always says there is 1 file not validated and it will be, not fixed, maybe revalidated or the file will be reinstalled, but I haven't seen any changes. At this point I'v uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times, and nothings really changed. I've tried creating a path using regedit, which changes the install to play, but still says it's not installed. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling after that, but that didn't solve the issue. I'm assuming the problem is from me attempting to use mods before first launch, but at this point I've tried to delete every file to do with MO2 and Vortex, but that hasn't worked. But at this point I've tried everything I could find on the internet and I just don't know what to do. I'm assuming the comment is about me being willing to attempt to get a refund for the game and what is likely a user error, and if that's what upset you then I apologize. If that doesn't work I'll aim for a refund and try Gog or whatever other places sell it. It's literally not there to my knowledge.Īt this point I'm going to try and get rid of Microsoft Visual Studio to see if that helps, since it might be tied to Mod Organizer 2. And by that I mean I've checked that path several times, with hidden files and extensions visible, and I haven't seen it. I tried to delete both mod manager/organizers in their entirety, then uninstall and reinstall NV but that didn't work. So on the first screen that pops up it says Install where it should say Play. I believe the games installed, but I get an error where it says the game isn't installed and it can't find an installer. I didn't run the game without mods first, and I installed both mod managers. Originally posted by 8ullfrog:Did you run the game without mods first? From what I'm reading you installed Mod organizer 2, then nexus mod manager? And you weren't sure if the game was installed?Ĭ:\Users\SANDWICH\Documents\My Games\FalloutNV is your path. I've already beaten New Vegas twice on console so I wanted to try mods and at this point I'm thinking of trying for a refund and never attempting again. Did use first launch with mod organizer though, deleted that to the best of my ability before trying everything again.Īt this point I've been trying to fix this for 5 hours and gotten nothing accomplished. ![]() Tried deleting vortex, but I didn't use any mods, and only tried to launch through it after everything else was tried. I have both falloutpref.ini and fallout_default.ini, but not fallout.ini. Take a look everytime and I'm missing the fallout.ini. Doesn't work still, so I delete everything.Īt this point I try uninstalling and reinstalling, running launcher and exe as admin a few times, and regedit to make path. Next I try to use a mod about registering, use manual download to put it in new vegas folder. Can't remember if I had New Vegas installed then, maybe not.Try to launch game, says I have. Wanted to play New Vegas: California so I tried to set up Mod Organizer 2, stopped after getting it connected to New Vegas to try Nexus Mod Manager since it seemed easier for total noob I am.
